Your adventure begins as we pick you up from Marrakech at 08:00 a.m. On the first day, we’ll journey southward, traversing the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road pass. Pause to relish the breathtaking views of the Atlas, explore Berber villages, and enjoy a coffee or tea break at a charming mountain-view restaurant.
Our next destination is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a stunning Kasbah and iconic fortress featured in Hollywood blockbusters like Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Game of Thrones. Continuing to Ouarzazate, dubbed the ‘Hollywood of Africa,’ we’ll tour its film studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. On the second day, our journey unfolds as we bid farewell to Dades Valley in the early morning, heading towards Todra Gorges, a masterpiece of nature and one of Morocco’s most awe-inspiring canyons. Along the way, we’ll pause to stroll through the lush Todra Oasis, immersing ourselves in its beauty before venturing into the spectacular canyons.
Continuing south, we reach Erfoud, a quaint city renowned for its fossil factories. Our journey takes us further through Saharan Oasis, offering glimpses of the mesmerizing desert landscape. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll have time to relax before embarking on a camel trek into the dunes, marking the beginning of your desert adventure.
In the summer, the camel excursion kicks off around 17:00-18:00, and in the winter, approximately 15:00-16:00. After an hour of camel riding, you’ll arrive at the camp, where a cup of tea welcomes you as you admire the Sahara and its breathtaking sunset. Dinner awaits at the camp’s restaurant tent, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Berber drums around the campfire. On the third day, a magical morning awaits as we rouse you early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the desert. After indulging in a hearty breakfast and a refreshing shower, your day unfolds with a captivating 4WD adventure to explore the enchanting Merzouga desert and its surroundings.
Merzouga, a desert village adorned with abandoned settlements, oases, and picturesque landscapes, offers a day of exploration. Our journey begins with a visit to the seasonal lake of Merzouga, known as Dayet Srij, where the backdrop of dunes meets the graceful presence of flamingos and other birds. The next stop takes us to Khamlia village, home to people originating from Sudan and Mali. Here, immerse yourself in the rhythmic beats of Gnawa music, a unique African experience (optional), before continuing to M’fis, an old French village revealing mineral and fossil mines.
Ascending a small hill, soak in a panoramic view of the dunes on one side and the Moroccan-Algerian border on the other. Explore fossil hunting before we embark on a journey to visit nomad families residing in Berber-style tents at the feet of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Gain insights into their daily lives and traditions before taking a break in one of their tents for a cup of mint tea or indulging in a delicious Berber pizza for lunch (optional). Our off-road adventure on the Dakar Rally road continues, with stops at a desert oasis before returning to the hotel in Merzouga.

On the third day, the next leg of our adventure begins as we set forth for Fes in the morning, following a delightful breakfast and a refreshing shower. Our journey takes us through Errachidia, the largest administrative city in the desert region, and then we pause to soak in the panoramic splendor of the Ziz Valley, adorned with thousands of palm trees.
Continuing our traverse, we reach the apple haven of Medilt for a delicious lunch. Our next stop brings us to the enchanting Azrou Cedar forest, home to wild monkeys. Capture the moment in the wilderness, take pictures, and if you’re lucky, share a moment with these fascinating creatures. Keep in mind they are wild animals and may not always be present.
Our journey towards Fes resumes, passing through the picturesque Ifrane, often referred to as the Moroccan Switzerland. Anticipate our arrival between 18:00 and 19:00, depending on the duration of stops along the way.
